The 13th Annual Indian Newslink Business Awards 2022

The countdown begins today for one of the most important events in New Zealand’s business calendar with entrants, participants, sponsors, judges and guests raising their expectations of the Indian Newslink Business Awards.
Chip Dawson, Chairman of the Panel of Judges, said that the Awards Programme, the thirteenth in the annual series, has enlisted the largest number of entrants, demonstrating the high level of integrity and quality of the entry and judging process.
The Indian Newslink Business Awards Presentation Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Trusts Arena, located at 65 Central Park Drive, Henderson, Auckland. The event will begin at 5 pm with Cocktails and Networking, followed by speeches, entertainment, plated dinner and the main event.
Jackie Clarke, a Celebrity Entertainer returns to the Indian Newslink event as the Master of the Ceremonies. She will sing, dance and entertain guests, adding dignity and honour to our Awards.
Mr Dawson said that the event will as usual bring together political, business, professional and community leaders, along with start-ups, investors and others.
“This is our 13th year of celebrating Excellence in the New Zealand South Asian and Fiji communities, and the Awards Night will be significant in sharing your success. It is our great pleasure to invite you to join an outstanding group of businesses in achieving magnificent results in a time around the world characterised by uncertainty, and financial and economic challenges perpetrated by Covid-19 and other factors. New Zealand has been amazingly resultant thanks to the efforts of the entire ‘team of five million.’ We look forward to receiving you at the Awards Night Ceremony,” he said.
Extensive Categories
New Zealand businesses consider our Awards Programme as the most extensive in their scope and extensive with a high level of integrity and honesty. Following the call for entries on March 1, Mr Dawson and his colleagues conduct three free workshops explaining ‘How to file a good entry,’ ‘The importance of writing a good Business Plan,’ ‘Ways of raising Capital,’ and other major issues such as raising productivity and profitability health and safety and compliance and good employer-employee relations.
“We are very excited about the categories and focus of the Awards this year as we have expanded the topics to include organisations that are doing business in both India and Fiji as well as other countries such as businesses (registered in New Zealand) owned, operated, managed or franchised by people from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal,” Mr Dawson said.
There are 18 categories in this year’s Awards Programme. They are (1) Business Excellence in Retail Business (2) Business Excellence in Innovation (3) Business Excellence in Marketing (4) Business Excellence in Customer Service (5) Best Employer of Choice (6) Business Excellence in Health & Safety (7) Business Excellence with Ethics and Compliance (8) Business Excellence with Social Responsibility (9) Best Small Business (10) Best Medium Business (11) Best Large Business (12) Business Excellence in International Trade with India (13) Business Excellence in International Trade with Fiji (14) Best Accountant of the Year (15) Best Young Entrepreneur of the Year (16) Best Financial Advisor (Mortgage) (17) Best Financial Advisor (Insurance) (18) Best Businesswoman of the Year. Winners in each of these categories will automatically be evaluated for the Best Supreme Business Award.
Mr Dawson said that the Indian Newslink Business Awards 2022 have been designed to recognise Excellence in these categories including individuals who display outstanding achievement in the fields of Entrepreneurship, Insurance, Accounting, and Mortgage Management.
“We have identified an area of key concern for all New Zealanders such as good Human Resources Management, Ethics and Social Responsibility as well as Health and Safety. The increasing
importance of recognising women for their entrepreneurial excellence has encouraged us to create a special category since 2010,” he said.
Robust Judging Process
Mr Dawson said that the approach with the Panel of Judges has always been professional with the highest level of integrity and standards in the difficult process of selecting leading companies for their achievements.
“Our Judges have extensive experience in judging and evaluating top companies throughout New Zealand. These Awards of Excellence build a closer team within the organisation and create an opportunity to identify exceptional staff with great talent within the companies for future leadership,” he said.

Gala Black Tie Dinner
The forthcoming spectacular Black-Tie Gala Dinner and Awards Night will celebrate the winners in each category with an outstanding selection of highly distinguished politicians and guests who will applaud our finalists and winners,” he said.
Among those attending the Awards Night will be manufacturers, retailers, restaurateurs, exporters, business consultants, bankers, investment advisors, accountants, lawyers, engineers, healthcare givers, finance companies, finance and insurance brokers and other service providers.
