AUCKLAND, NZ (Jan 25, 2019) – Due to unforeseen operational and production issues, Live Nation would like to advise that it is necessary to move the sold-out ALICE IN CHAINS headline show scheduled for Thursday March 7, from the Logan Campbell Centre to The Trusts Arena.

We are however pleased to advise that the change of venue will enable the release of additional tickets to the instantly sold out show, for those fans who missed out. Previously purchased tickets will remain valid for the new venue without the need for exchange.

Alice in Chains are touring in support of their recently released album RAINIER FOG, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Rock, Alternative and Hard Music Charts and No. 1 on the iTunes Rock Album Chart.

The album, which is the band’s first in five years, has been drawing rave reviews from fans and critics alike, with Kerrang! writing, “it’s prime Alice In Chains and the work of a band still managing to hit new peaks of their powers.” Uproxx wrote that the album “boasts undeniable energy and rhythm,” Loudwire praised the band for “still making music that holds up to their legacy” and Q Magazine lauded the quartet for “juggling power and poignancy like masters.”

Part of RAINIER FOG was recorded at Seattle’s Studio X, the same facility where the band tracked 1995’s self-titled Alice In Chains album (back when the studio was known as Bad Animals). It was the first time the band recorded in Seattle in 20 years. The RAINIER FOG recording process also saw the band spend time at Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles and at the Nashville studio of producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush). RAINIER FOG is the third straight Alice In Chains album recorded with producer Raskulinecz and engineer Paul Figueroa. The album was mixed by Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Tool).

Over the course of their remarkable career, ALICE IN CHAINS have garnered multiple Grammy nominations, sold more than 30 million albums worldwide and amassed a diehard international fanbase whose members number in the millions. They remain one of the most successful and influential American rock bands of all time.
