The Trusts Arena is Aucklands busiest venue. From time to time we need to add staff to our team to keep the community in The Trusts Arena. If you have a “hell yes can do” attitude and the ability to think quickly on your feet then we may be able to offer you one of our roles. Below are listed currently available roles, as well as an application form if you wish to apply for one of them.

Experience is not always essential as we are able to train for many jobs, but an extreme can do attitude is a must.

CAFE / FRONT OF HOUSE STAFF
We have a unique opportunity for a talented Café assistant to join our team providing catering & operational services on our site in West Auckland.The position will be casual, including evenings and weekend shifts with the potential to increase over the coming months. With upcoming major events there will be the potential to pick up extra shifts also.

  • Duties will include;
  • Must be able to operate a coffee machine and make all coffee types to a high standard in both quality and speed.
  • Efficient operation of till and cash handling.
  • Helping with setup and closedown each day of the café including cleaning.
  • Excellence in customer service with a friendly and engaging manner.

You will have strong experience in the catering service and a good food background. Importantly, you have excellent communication skills, a positive and enthusiastic attitude, and a commitment to providing excellent, food and service!

In order to hit the ground running, you will have:

  • Previous hospitality experience in a comparable environment
  • Must have experience as a barista
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills
  • Impeccable presentation and grooming
  • Knowledge of OH&S & food hygiene, food handling certificates a bonus!
  • Must be a New Zealand resident or be entitled to live and work in New Zealand

KITCHEN HAND / STEWARD
We currently have a vacancy for a kitchen hand to join our catering team at our site in Henderson, West Auckland.The position will be casual / part time, including evenings and weekend shifts, approximately 2-3 shifts per week with more on offer during our major events.

Duties will include control of all aspects of general kitchen hygiene, use of and control of cleaning chemicals within the wider arena venue, daily washup duties, cleaning of other general areas.

You will have strong experience in the catering service and a good food background. Importantly, you have excellent communication skills, a positive and enthusiastic attitude, and a commitment to providing excellent, food and service! If you like to roll up your sleeves and enjoy a role that is physically demanding then this is for you!

CATERING ASSISTANT & STOCK CLERK
We have a unique opportunity for a talented Catering Assistant & Stock Clerk to join our team providing catering & operational services on our site in West Auckland.The position will be permanent part time, including evenings and weekend shifts with the potential to increase over the coming months. Also with upcoming major events there will be the potential to pick up extra shifts during these.Duties will include general kitchen work and prep as well as incorporating stock management, rotation and inventory, including some data entry. The right candidate will also be responsible for general cleanliness and hygiene maintenance.You will have strong experience in the catering service and a good food background. Importantly, you have excellent communication skills, a positive and enthusiastic attitude, and a commitment to providing excellent, food and service!In order to hit the ground running, you will have:
