Operations Assistant
The Trusts Stadium and its facilities are first and foremost here to be a facility for the community. We do this by deriving income from commercial events and using this to subsidise the community use of the facility for a range of sports, and events and functions. Operations assistants work on a casual weekly basis, some weeks you will work 8-10 hours, and other weeks you will work up to and over 40 hours if we have major events or community use in the building. We operate a flexible schedule to accommodate training and other requirements to best accommodate the right candidate. Working under the direction of the Events& Operations Manager you will be given a wide range of responsibilites. The Events & Operations team ranges from 4-8 staff depending on how busy we are, so you need to be able to form part of a very close knit team.
This role can range from things like setting up basketball courts, small sound systems etc right through to coordinating the setup around events like a MUSE concert when we have them. At times it is a very challenging role, and others times it can be extraordinarily rewarding for the right person.The ideal candidate for this role has some form of background in the services (beneficial, but not requisite) or a like environment where a no nonsense attitude to hard work is critical capable of following instructions and being a proactive thinker. A general handyman approach and also a degree of comfort around all things technical is also beneficial as many of the situations you will find yourself in need some form of fault finding applied in order to develop the solution.
Most training will be given on the job to the right candidate; The Trusts Stadium will also pay for you to sit any required permits (such as Forklift and First Aid) which we need you to hold.
Requirements
A full, clean drivers license
A high level of comfort with all things technical
The ability to work very flexible hours around our requirements
