Run & Walk Events is a new series of events in and around Auckland. Our quality & exciting events will provide you with the ideal preparation in the lead up to your big day. No matter whether you are running or walking on the 31st October we have the ideal build up distances for everyone.
Each of our events will cater for everyone who needs to prepare, we offer 4 great courses with your choice of distances on each of the days, the timing of our events are designed to be at the right time to be fitted into your training programmes so you can achieve your goals at the adidas Auckland Marathon.
Leading up to the adidas Auckland Marathon we have 3 events planned (10, 7 and 4 weeks prior), with the 4th event after the adidas Auckland Marathon so you can come along and show us how well you have recovered and what great form you have.
All our courses are on 6-8km loop's, Our courses are designed to not only give you a great event but to give you the opportunity to practice a number of things like your hydration & nutrition on the day and pacing for the adidas Auckland half and full marathons. We will be providing laps split so you can check your pacing / timing, and we will be placing accurate km markers out for you also.

Event 2: The Trust Stadium, Saturday 11th September 2010
Event 3: Sir Barry Curtis Park , Saturday 2nd October 2010
Event 4: Ellerslie Race Course, Sunday 5th December 2010

The distances are; 2km for kids, 7km, 14km, 21km & 28km, the course is 7k loop course over a rolling course, one good uphill stint and the rest of the course just rolls up and down slightly, the entire course is on wide footpath or walking tracks. With the Start & Finish on the running track at The Trust Stadium.
